The McKinney SAR Chapter held its monthly meeting on May 10, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Steak Kountry Restaurant in McKinney.

Guests were SAR Treasurer General Treasurer General David N. Appleby and wosar Rayleen of Missouri. Guest speaker was Wes Geary, Colonel U. S. Army retired chaplain.
Treasurer Cecil Coale reported that there were $1206 in available funds in the chapter bank account. The dues check from TXSSAR have been received by the chapter.
Col. Geary spoke on the meaning of Memorial Day. President McLellan presented him with the revolutionary war book "Iron Tears," which was signed by all SAR members in attendance.
President McLellan invited everyone to participate in the Iraq soldier greetings at the DFW airport.
President McLellan presented Nathan White with the SAR military service medal.
President McLellan presented Willie Walker with his second past president pin.
Don Sielert was elected Chaplain to replace Tommy Slay who moved recently to Nacogdoches, Texas.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm by President McLellan.
