The McKinney SAR Chapter held its monthly meeting on January 11, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Steak Kountry Restaurant in McKinney.

Those attending the meeting were: Marshall and Sylvia Battle, Cecil and Marcia Coale, Nick Harper, Jim Johnson (Denton), Milton Lentz, David and Bill Noe, Mike Radcliff (Plano), Peter Rowley (Plano), Don and Ann Sielert, James and Mae Shaw, Tommy Slay, Billie and Kathleen Thompson, Willie and Marylin Walker, Nathan and Wanda White.

Treasurer Cecil Coale reported $1015 in the bank.

Officers for the 2007 year were installed by President General Nathan White: President Peter McLellan, Vice President Milton Lentz, Secretary/Treasurer/ Webmaster Cecil Coale, Historian Marshall Battle, Chaplain Tommy Slay, Registrar Willie Walker, Sergeant at Arms Billie Lee Thompson.

President General Nathan White spoke to the group about his experiences at the National level this year and about the national headquarters museum project in Louisville, Kentucky.

President Walker advised that a joint Board of Managers meeting will be sponsored by the the McKinney and Plano Chapters in November, 2007.

Compatriots Jim Johnson, Mike Radcliff and Peter Rowley presented President General White with a custom SAR color guard tricorn hat.

Compatriot Cecil Coale received a supplemental for his ancestor James Finnie.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm by President Walker.
