The McKinney Chapter met at Steak Kountry in McKinney on May 11, 2006 at 7 pm.

SAR members attending the meeting were: Marshall and Sylvia Battle (McKinney), Cecil and Marcia Coale (Plano/McKinney), Carroll and Lynn Maxwell (McKinney), Peter McLellan, Frank and Anita Roberts and son Phillip (guests), Mae Shaw (Wosar), Tommy Slay, Willie and Marylin Walker (Plano/McKinney), Wanda White (Wosar), Mike Yarbrough (McKinney) and guests Major Chuck Ruckel and Deputy Andrew Hatch.

The meeting was called to order by President Walker at 7 pm.

Treasurer Cecil Coale reported about $1730 in the chapter bank account.

The evening's guest speaker, Major Chuck Ruckel told of emergency aid supplied by local fire and police forces to the survivors of of the tornado in Westminster and Anna several days earlier.

President Walker presented the SAR law enforcement medal to Deputy Andrew Hatch of the Collin County Sheriff's organization.

President Walker adjourned the meeting at 8:15 pm.
