Compatriot Steve Seachord described this event in these words "On January 15, 2006, the Plano Chapter of Collin County Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard presented and retrieved the colors for the U.S. Citizen Naturalization Ceremony and Plano Martin Luther King Celebration 2006 at the First United Methodist Church, Plano, Texas. Emcees for the program were Bernice J. Washington and Derrick Brookins. Color Guard present were Compatriot Richard Arnold, Mike Radcliff, Peter Rowley, William Walker, Chris Casey, Jim Johnson, and Stephen Seachord with Charlene Seachord taking photographs. 50 candidates for U.S. Citizenship took the Oath of Allegiance to become new Citizens."
