The 116th NSSAR Congress was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Addison, Texas on July 7 - 12. The McKinney attendees were: Nathan and Wanda White, Mike and Carol Radcliff, Peter and Dagny McLellan, Peter Rowley, Steve Seachord, John Greer, Jim and Mary Lynn Johnson, Jack Houghton and Willie and Marilyn Walker
Highlights of the 116th Congress
Nathan White was awarded the Minuteman Award, which is the highest award of the NSSAR.

Nathan was installed as President General of the NSSAR.

The Texas Society won several awards.

Willie Walker was award the Bronze Congress Appreciation Medal

The Host Reception was held at Storybook Ranch and many of the Compatriots drove out of towners so we could get to know each other.

A memorial service was held at Perkins Chapel at SMU on Sunday afternoon with a massed color guard.

The highlight on Monday was the Youth Award Luncheon and the awards presentations on Monday evening where Nathan White was presented the Minuteman Award by Jack Houghton.

The President's Banquet was held on Wednesday where Nathan White was installed as the 115th President General of NSSAR.

On Wednesday evening, July 12, 2006 Judge Nathan E. White, Jr., from the Plano and McKinney Chapters of Collin County, was elected and sworn in as President General of the National Society, Sons of the American Revolution, to serve a one-year term at the InterContinental Hotel, Addison. Judge White has been a judge in Collin County for a number of years. The National Society held its 116th, 2006 congress in the Dallas area this year. Judge White, a Past President of the Texas Society and past National Society Secretary General, has been a very active member for a number of years at the local, state and national levels of the SAR.
