On April 12, 2006, the Anderson Elementary School of Allen ISD hosted a historical information and events presentation for the 1st grade students performed by the Denton, McKinney and Plano Chapters of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Approximately 131 student were present providing a variety of questions of the American Revolutionary War period concerning social, educational and family issues. Compatriot Don Rowley (Plano/McKinney) was the project coordinator with assistance from Compatriots Jim Johnson (Denton/McKinney), Don Rector (Plano), Michael Radcliff (Plano/McKinney), Peter Rowley (Plano/McKinney) and WOSAR Teddy Rector and Kelley Rowley (Plano) of the Plano Chapter.
